Homeless on Halloween

This week’s adoptable dog is ready for a trick or treat romp! Check out Spikey!

Spikey here is a super cute 11 year old Rat Terrier. Weighing in at 17 pounds, this handsome boy just loves meeting new people! He can be a little fearful, as he is a little dude in a big world! The best way to his heart is to go slow with him. Once he get to know you, he’s the most social pup.

Spikey would do best in a home without children as he can get a little bit nippy with too much noise and excitement. He would prefer to live in a relatively quiet, adult-only home. He may enjoy having a canine companion, as he used to go on daily walks with another shelter dog friend Yaya before she got adopted. A friendly, quiet dog might be a great match for me. Spikey would benefit from a little training to help him boost his confidence and give him a chance to socialize with other pups. He is fully house trained, neutered and up to date on his routine shots.

For more information about Spikey, contact the MSPCA Boston Animal Care and Adoption Center by calling 617-522-5055 or visit their facility located at 350 South Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA 02130.
